Acupuncture / Dry Needling

Traditional acupuncture uses needles to stimulate body parts by placing them within specific meridian points. Dry needling or trigger point needling involves using needles to release specific areas of muscle tension with the aim of reducing pain.

At Physio In Motion we use Acupuncture and trigger point needling in the treatment of patients’ muscle dysfunction and pain by following evidence based guidelines and patient presentation. Both these types of needling can be considered dry needling as neither contain any fluid.

Many chronic conditions respond well to acupuncture and needling, such as

- Achilles tendonopathy
- Plantar fasciitis
- Frozen shoulder
- Tennis elbow
- Spinal disc pathologies
